As we settle into our 10th year at HRMG, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge years of dedicated hard work in the Coastal Bend. HRMG founder Jonathan Swindle has always been an ardent believer in developing not only the businesses he works with but also the local community and the opportunities available to them. That ideology comes full circle this year with exciting developments allowing Jonathan to give back to organizations with significant impacts in the community, as well as possibilities for advancing goals and growth through hard-earned resources at HRMG. This has evolved in the form of recent work supporting area non-profit entities such as Education to Employment Partners, Coastal Compass, Teen Bookfest by the Bay, the Instituto de Cultura Hispánica de Corpus Christi, St. Paul United Church of Christ, the USS Kingsville Commissioning Committee, the CB Pride Center and PRIDE Corpus Christi.
PRIDE Corpus Christi Web Design & Media Development
Pride Corpus Christi, formerly Pride Downtown Corpus Christi, was founded in 2016 after the Pulse Orlando shooting and was launched as a block party and parade. In 2019, the founding leadership exited the organization. Recognizing the need to keep the organization alive and inclusive festivities in the local community, Bill Hoelscher (CBWF) and Angie Baker (CB Pride Center) accepted the challenge of continuing the mission. Under their guidance, the organization held a successful PRIDE Week celebration which is now held annually for the LGBTQIA+ community of the Coastal Bend in South Texas.
During that uncertain transition in 2019, Jonathan joined the board and HRMG donated a new website to PRIDE to help digitally market the events. While attending PRIDE events, HRMG documented the celebration to produce high-quality digital media and drone footage. Over the last 3 years, HRMG has maintained the website’s content to stay aligned with the mission of the organization. Improvements made to the integrity of the website include Facebook feeds, press releases, yearly celebration schedule updates, and other crucial functions. In 2022, to help avoid growing fees through third-party websites, Jonathan implemented a ticketing system on the website to fully manage and automate ticket sales.
PRIDE Corpus Christi Board Membership & Officers
In addition to a new website, members of the HRMG team have stepped into board positions at PRIDE Corpus Christi including Jonathan Swindle (President), Liza Wisner (Secretary), Randy Stubbs, and Crystal Garcia. Our participation on the board will be an opportunity to further honor our commitment to quality of life and economic development in the city of Corpus Christi and surrounding towns. PRIDE Corpus Christi board members are essential to building sponsor relationships and pursuing event programming, as well as organizing the June Pride Week events, block party, and parade. Liza Wisner has also been integral to the administration of the non-profit organization, serving as the secretary for both 2021 and 2022.
Accepting the mantle of President for 2022, HRMG’s own Jonathan Swindle will lead the board in creating initiatives beneficial to the organization and see them to fruition. Jonathan brings previous experience as the chair of the popular Ranch Hand Festival from 2014 to 2015. With his background in marketing and digital communications, a large part of his mission as President will be organizing critical information in an official archive and building a proper communications plan. The ultimate goal will see PRIDE Corpus Christi with a functioning file system and communication plan for years to come. As president, Jonathan will also represent the non-profit in public, with a vested interest in building relationships in the community including local industries and educational institutions.
