It’s a well known fact that Texans love their barbecue. With regular competitions, dedicated publications, and a few rivalries, the scene is intense with new barbecue joints opening all across the state. Butter’s BBQ is a relatively new addition as a family owned and operated restaurant based out of Mathis, Texas; offering the area’s only Central Texas-style barbecue. The restaurant is praised by customers from across the state for deliciously seasoned brisket, tender meat that falls off the bone, and customer service where everyone is considered family. After receiving a well deserved feature in Texas Monthly, Butter’s BBQ pitmaster and owner Andrew Soto reached out to HRMG to develop an official web presence for his business and capitalize as a small business on the momentum.

Even after 8 years in business, Butters Barbecue is HRMG’s first restaurant client and we were pretty excited to leverage our expertise on the project. As promoters of small business and entrepreneurship, we went the extra mile to reinforce our mission of supporting locally owned operations. The HRMG team put crucial web development assets into motion to create a web presence fitting Butter’s high reputation and quality meats. To begin the process, Andrew sliced up some delicious ‘Big Franklin’ BBQ for HRMG’s team.
In order to showcase the restaurant, we captured photographs of the team hard at work in the kitchen, as well as the delectable plates with generous portions. We took the website a step further, setting up an online ordering platform, complete with Apple Pay and Google Payments. As a result of this process (and inspired by some of the best BBQ we thoroughly enjoyed), we were able to create a fresh take on a South Texas restaurant website design.
It was our pleasure developing a client relationship with Butter’s BBQ and we look forward to watching their business flourish along with their online presence. We also highly recommend trying some of what we’d consider, the best BBQ in South Texas!
