High-quality career education and guidance is an essential part of education and career speakers provide valuable insights and inspiration. Students are more engaged in education and highly motivated about their future when they have a clear understanding of themselves and how they might live and work when they leave school. That’s why our team has regularly supported endeavors by area education non-profits like E2E and Texas Education Agency programs since 2013.
Education to Employment (E2E) Partners and Non-Profit Volunteer Work
Citizens for Educational Excellence (CEE) was established in 2003 in order to provide youth programs, conduct professional development for educators, lead education forums, and establish programs designed to increase educational and job attainment. This endeavor has now expanded to include Education to Employment (E2E) Partners and the Coastal Compass Education & Career Resource Center which acts as a free source of information and personalized assistance.
Founded in 2007 in the Corpus Christi area, E2E seeks to bridge the gap by serving as a catalyst to bring people, resources, and information together to create an outstanding education system in the local community.
Discover Your Direction: Exploring Endorsements Youth Leadership Conference
E2E hosted the Discover Your Direction youth leadership conference which included accomplished guest speakers such as KIII 3 News Meteorologist Alan Holt, District Attorney Mark Gonzalez, and award-winning business performance advisor Liza Wisner. Information sessions from the conference addressed topics such as understanding career endorsements, entrepreneurship, career readiness, and careers in sectors of public service, the military, and arts and humanities over a span of two days.
Thanks to a continuing partnership with the Education to Employment Partners (E2E), HRMG’s founder Jonathan Swindle has had the pleasure of serving as a guest speaker at the student conferences since 2013. Jonathan was once again invited to share his knowledge, experience, and invaluable insights in the 2020 leadership conference on February 25th and 26th at the Education Service Center.
In his presentation, Jonathan discussed careers in computers, his 10-year journey as an entrepreneur, and his company’s expansion into multiple industries linked by modern technology and media. Insights included multiple pathways a student may use to navigate into the industry, important statistics regarding income, economics, and demographics, as well as promoting the industry right here in Texas. Jonathan also shared some of HRMG’s current work such as a film project and an exciting partnership with Starlite Broadcasting. The presentation concluded with a round of questions, final suggestions for literature on the industry and selecting secondary schools to continue their education.
