Mary McLeod Bethune Early Child Development Nursery is a non-profit child development center based in Corpus Christi, TX. Dr. Bethune believed in the importance of building solid educational foundations in children, especially those from disadvantaged minorities.

In the early 1940s, a terrible fire razed the home of an African-American family with 2 children which left one child dead and the other severely burned and permanently scarred. The mother was working at the time of the tragedy. The incident prompted community leaders to establish the old Bethune Day Nursery in 1942 at 1403 Howard Street, with 10 children under its care. The newly founded child development center became the first of its kind in the area. The center has since relocated to accommodate more children and in 1981, found its permanent home at 900 Kinney Street.

Website Design

Mary Mcleod Bethune Daycare was originally using classifieds and marketing services such as Adsack and LocaliQ in hopes of expanding their reach in the market. The company was, unfortunately, dealing with significant issues from their partners, as well as suffering the effects of a mismanaged situation with a provider bogged down by acquisitions from national competitors.

A well constructed or poorly executed website can make or break your leads and should complement the physical aspect of the business you’ve worked so hard to create. With the launch of their own personal website, Bethune Daycare’s operational information, programs, calendar of events, and more are all readily accessible by the public and parents in the area at any time. As with all websites developed and hosted by HRMG, the website was built on LiteSpeed (a modern replacement for Apache web server) for quick load times and is responsive to all mobile devices and desktop computers.
