Padre Island Counseling is a mental health provider established by Corpus Christi native Johanna Torres. Johanna is a Psychology Today verified licensed professional counselor with over 6 years experience in providing short-term individual counseling, relationship counseling, group counseling, and crisis intervention. Padre Island Counseling specializes in treating anxiety and depression, as well as trauma and PTSD.

Web Development and Logo Design

In an era where 76% of consumers search for a company’s online presence before even considering a visit to a physical location, there’s no doubt about it – your business needs to go where the customers are.

After opening Padre Island Counseling, Johanna came to HRMG for a website that would establish her web presence and allow her to showcase her therapeutic services to potential clients. Furthermore, her new business needed help with branding to set her practice apart. This began with selecting the typography, colors, and a unique logo created just for Johanna. A palm tree logo designed by Joshua Horowitz captures a more youthful feel as well as giving a nod to the name and coastal area where the practice is based. HRMG graphic designer Stephen Gregg then illustrated the design, tying in teal and blue tones to reflect healing, clarity, and calm for the therapy practice.

Once the major design decisions were made, the website build itself was fairly straightforward. Web development focused on presenting contact forms to schedule consultations, and communicating necessary information regarding services, insurance, and FAQ’s. In addition, the Padre Island Counseling website ties in all social media presences for easy visibility. As with all websites developed and hosted by HRMG, the website was built on LiteSpeed (a modern replacement for Apache web server) for fast load times, and a licensed cPanel platform with GUARD security and RAID SSD storage.
